The leading betting exchange, Betfair, has announced yet another sponsorship deal in the world of snooker, ensuring its ever growing presence in this popular sport. The latest deal will see Betfair cover the World Snooker European Tour, which will now be known as the Betfair European Tour.
Over the course of the next several months, six exciting snooker events will be held across Europe, with the Betfair European Tour getting extensive TV coverage on Eurosport, much to the delight of snooker fans across the continent.
The Chairman of World Snooker, Barry Hearn said that the organization was delighted to bring Betfair in as the sponsor of the European Snooker Tour. He said that, just like World Snooker, Betfair was targeting emerging markets in many areas of Europe, and the tour would provide tremendous exposure for the brand.
Adding his comments was the International Director for the betting exchange, Matt Robinson who said that the group was delighted to add World Snooker’s new European Tour to its sponsorship portfolio. He said that the tour visits some of the key European markets, making it an excellent opportunity to raise awareness for the Betfair brand. Robinson added that Betfair was excited to support a game which attracts both old and new.
Betfair is considered the world’s largest international sports betting providers, and employs over 2,000 people from all over the world. It performs over 7 million transactions a day, 99.9% of them processed in a second. Customers can choose their own odds and bet against one another on a pioneering platform. The group boasts around three million registered customers who bet in over 17 languages.
