After Full Tilt Poker co-owner, Howard Lederer gave a series of reviews to a well known poker site, his fellow players came out to comment on his choice of words and comments, with many slamming him for his views.
One such online poker professional was Daniel Negreanu who said that he had watched the video interviews and felt that Full Tilt Poker’s actions after Black Friday bordered on criminal, and were certainly premeditated. As a reminder, Full Tilt Poker, unlike its rival site Poker Stars, has still not paid back the hundreds of millions of dollars owed to players, who have their funds tied up in the site.

Negreanu said that after watching the interviews, he had picked up what he considered blatant lies in an attempt by Negreanu to make himself look good and like “a lone savior while throwing everyone else under the bus”. Negreanu defended Phil Ivey who has been under enormous pressure by the public, many who claim that he was in criminal cohorts with Full Tilt founders Ray Bitar, Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson.
Negreanu slammed Full Tilt’s handling of the months post-Black Friday, especially the series of press releases sent out, ensuring players that their money was safe and continuing to accept deposits from players, instead of doing the right thing by filing for bankruptcy or at least shutting down the site for a short time.
Daniel Negreanu also said that he couldn’t wait for more people to speak out so that the whole truth finally came out, especially since everyone would see that Phil Ivey was not in the wrong at all.
