It looks like iGaming software developer Games OS made the decision to close out a successful 2015 year with a bang. The company has announced the release of its new video slot Magic of Oz. As one could guess, the game is based on the 1939 film Wizard of Oz. With all the familiar faces and icons, it’s a game that is sure to appeal to fans of the entire enterprise.

While Games OS has never been known for designing games with outstanding graphics and video features, it does have a reputation for developing some of the most unique and interesting reel alignments. That alone makes it worth the effort to try the company’s games at designated online casino sites for free or real money.

Magic of Oz Slot Features

The Magic of Oz slot game format starts with a unique 6-reel layout in a horizontal pyramid pattern (right to left) with 8-3 icons (right to left) in the respective rows. There is a total of 80 pay-lines, which create an interesting array of payoff possibilities. The game comes with standard symbols that include playing card icons (diamonds, hearts, clubs and spades), a flower, a crow plus movie characters Toto, Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man. The game also comes with the requisite special symbols that include the emerald wild, the “featured” emerald wild on reel 1 only, and a bonus game scatter symbol which appears on reels 1-3 only.

During gameplay, the wild symbol substitutes for everything but the scatter symbol. If the player lands the “featured” emerald wild, they are awarded 2 free re-spins with frozen wilds. Players who land all three bonus symbols will earn the opportunity to play two separate bonus rounds.

The first bonus feature is the “Pick a Gem” game, where they choose spots from a 4×3 matrix until they fill up one of 4 rewards. In that case, they earn the designated award, plus additional picks in the next cycle.

In the second round of Magic of Oz, they play the “Diamond Arrow” game where they spin one of two wheels (green or purple) in order to earn a designated number of free spins with multipliers.

Games OS (formerly CTXM) is a veteran software developer based in Riga, Latvia, with additional branch offices in London and Luxembourg. They have a casino games portfolio of just over 130 games that can be accessed in instant play or Flash mode, or through the use of mobile apps that carry its games. A couple of its other recent video slot releases include titles like By the Rivers of Buffalo and Maverick Saloon.
